    About Exspunding a Record
I have two misdemeanor class one charges. I was wondering how do I go about getting them off my record? One was from 2001 and the other from 2005

Misdemeanor convictions are criminal convictions and as such they remain on your record.

    Hi, strgazn1

If you've been charged with something, it doesn't mean that you've been convicted of anything.

It would help to know more specifically as to what you are meaning here concerning a charge or a conviction and what they were concerning.

    Thanks!

Here lies part of the problem, first where are you at, if in the US, what state.

Each state has somewhat different rules and laws. In all cases you will need an attorney.

But the entire case to get something explunged was that you have keep your record clean and not gotten into any trouble for many years, so having two, some years apart is not goig to be easy. If they were in the same court, it may be easier.

So you hire an attorney, he will make a petition to the court to have them explunged, he will show to the court that you have went so many years without doing any other crime, that you have held a steady job, maybe went back to school for education, been a Sunday school teacher, he will need to prove to the court that you have changed.

Depending on the court, they want to see some times, often at least 8 years to pass. So best guess it may be 2013 to 2015 and no more criminal problems, before they would consider it, but then your local attorney should know the rules your court looks for
