    Sewer smell from aeriation system
We have a septic tank with an aeriation system. We have a horrible sewer odor coming from the aeriation system. We have had the septic pumped, had filters checked, motor checked, and had system serviced to ensure it was working properly. We keep the chlorine tabs in as we should and still cannot figure out why our system stinks! The neighbors are even complaining! Help!

Where's the smell the worse,(see image)? If the ports aren't sealed properly you will get odor from them. Have you checked all the openings to be sure they're sealed? Let me know, Tom

My husband said all ports are capped. The smell is worse from the outlet. We have a 500 gallon tank and 5 people in the house. Would that make a difference? The smell has given us a problems for many months but my husband, 3 children and I have lives here for years.
