    Squishing and shaking
I am almost 6 months pregnant. I have a fear I squish and even shake my baby up. I fear it happens when I bend or crunch and get up or even sit and then bend over too. There's so many things I do that I fear I am squishing and shaking him. Can anything cause squishing or shaking him?

We women have the ability to know when our precious cargo is uncomfortable in any position and make allowances. You are probably sensing this too. Many women in third world countries work in the fields or in manual labor when they are carrying their babies to term. We and our babies are made for that kind of 'swishing and shaking'. What a roller coaster ride they must have inside!

There is a great deal of cushioning involved with the amniotic fluid-I would highly doubt that you could hurt your child by basically living your life day to day, with your normal movements.

Women have had babies for millions of years-it's unlikely you will be more active than mothers of previous generations.
