Can an employer dock a half hour of pay if an employee is only 1 minute late for work? How about 3 minutes late? Can they dock an employees pay if the till is short and the employer also uses the same till and may have been the one who made it short? This is for the state of Florida non salaried worker, makes hourly wage

First its not a good idea to piggyback your question on someone else's. This can lead to confusion. You should start a new thread. So I've moved your question to its own thread.

Yes they can round up as long as they are consistent. This means they have to treat all employees the same and they have to do the same on the back end. So if you clock out 3 minutes into the half hour they have to credit you for the half hour. I.e. If you clock in at 8:05AM and clock out at 5:05PM, then they have to pay you for 8:30 to 5:30.

As for the till issue, generally they can dock you if a till is short. However, if other people use the till, then you could have a good reason to protest. Of course, if you do, you would likely need to find another job. The better alternative is to campaign for separate tills. Make sure you close out when you take a break or leave.
