    Try reposting your equation using mimetextutorial.html.

    Your equation is ambiguous.

    If I understood well,



    Then, subtract 2ad from both sides;



    And put in square root on both sides to eliminate the squared.

    I think the OP meant to write the formula for velocity given acceleration and distance, where is final velocity and is initial velocity:



    Rearrange and you get:
