I'm in grade 7 and there was this kid named kody he was in my class last year and is in my class this year.we sit bck to back .he knows I like him (my friend told him last year) everyone thinks he likes me.my other friend told me to ask him out,at the dance my friend and I were dancing together and he was going to ask me bu t then he backed off.Kody will be going to the same high school as I am and I wasn't to know what to doabout us because we like each other and we were friends last year but know it's a bit akward (we still talk and joke around) but its weird to be near him because my heart starts pumping really fast WHAT TO DO??

You can proceed in two ways; straightforward or subtle. The straightforward way is to ask him out - voilá, problem solved! However, if you feel faint at the thought, you might want to try the subtle way; if your eyes meet, give him a small smile, accidentally brush his hand/touch him, etc. If he's interested in the going out sort of thing, this should make him think about it.

A couple of more things - if people make fun of your love, remember that they are just making fun because what you have going on is something exiting everyone would love to have for themselves; after all, you have a romance going on and love, even one which isn't responded to, is NOTHING to ever be ashamed about. Actually, everyone who is in love should go on the streets and boast about it (infact, they often do so in france and italy). The singer Edith Piath said that everyday is a waste if you are not in love.
Then one more thing; remember that ones life should be full of romance, and the only thing I regret is not confessing my love when I loved. You are young now, but what do you have to look back upon once you are old? You would be very special to be so brave as to grasp the moment. :) Even if eventually this love would end, there are lots more to love <3

DEAR kAYLA_PINK if he won't make the first move then now its up to you. Even if you are scared you have to pull through build up the courage and ask him.If this seemslike a really hard and scary thing for you to do talk to your best friend about the situation maybe you can have her talk to his best friend and ask some questions to find out his true feelings for you. I hope it all ghioes well and just remember you got ntohihng to loose so take your best try and get out there girl!
