    Cucumbers
    This year for the first time, the cucumbers from my garden are bitter. What is causing this.

    Bitter cucumbers
    Probably caused by uneven water availability though unbalanced soil nutrients could also have caused the problem. A high level of humus will help keep water in the soil where the roots can find it. Add compost to your soil and/or mulch with an organic material like grass clippings.
