    Minority Shareholder Terminated
I have worked for this company for over 10 years, progressing in my position over the past several years. I and another person were selected by the owner to become shareholders of the company nearly three years ago. At that time they brought in a new guy to be the president but he was not able to become president the first year and he was blaming it on me. He finally became president at the beginning of this year and I ended up reporting to him. During the past several years, he has always been picking on me and saying bad things behind my back and basically destroying my reputation in front of the board of directors. I was doing what he wanted but no matter what I did , it never pleased him and always not happy with me. It finally came to a head last week where I was terminated by the previous president. He basically told me that I was too much acting like an owner and pointing things that were wrong when this other guy was running the company. He bascially defamed my character and ruined my reputation.
They are paying my salary for a year and wanting me to consult for them. Do I have any grounds for any type of actions against them? I am a shareholder and they are buying my shares too but only after I sign something saying that I will never sue them. Is there anything I can do here?
