    What is the voltage?
Can someone tell me what the voltage would read between phases in a 3 phase 4 wire wye situation. If 4 wires are used what exactly are each of the wires voltage. I mean can I touch one phase and then the ground and expect to get the same result in voltage between all 3 legs. I would appreciate any help especially from tkrussel I believe your name is. Anyway you are exactly where I want to be experience wise in the trade and I will be as long as I get the right info and apply it correctly. I have an electrician that I work with but doesn't like to answer questions and that stinks. So I found this and would appreciate any help from anyone especially russel on any question I have.

Not sure If I understand your question completely, but I attached a simple diagram showing the voltages between each phase to phase and phase to neutral.

Keep in mind, you mention "ground", which is not shown on the diagram, the voltage reading between any phase and ground will be the same as phase to neutral, which is technically called "grounded" conductor.

This diagram shows 120/208 volt system. If you have 277/480 volt system, swap 120 for 277, and 280 for 480 volts.
