    I am 7 weeks pregnant and bleeding heavy? Did I miscarry
    Hi my name is cristin! I just found out last Saturday that I was pregnant. That afternoon I started bleeding bright red blood. I went to the er and they did my blood levels which were 2600 and did a ultasound and the baby looked good. Well I thought well this will pass. I keep bleeding and by Thursday I went back to er because I don't have insurance yet well they checked my levels again and they were 50,076 that was good they were doing like they were supposed to. So this morning (saturday) I woke up and used the bathroom and passed a clot about the size of my hand. I went to the er again they did my blood again and it only raised to 52,963 and he said that it should have doubled since Thursday! He did know if I had on but he told it was possible and that I need to get in to see my doctor Monday. My question is do you think I had a miscarriage since my blood levels has not got higher?

    The only way to know would be to have another ultrasound. By this stage you can't really count on the hcg levels to keep rising as quickly as they did earlier in the pregnancy and there is such a wide variation of what is considered normal. While a miscarraige is a possibility, don't go by the numbers alone. Sending good thoughts for a good report once you see your doctor!
