    Idle erractic
    I have a 1989 honda civic lx when warm up to running temp and I make a stop the idle drops down and the car stops running any ideas,also having a problem choosing what kind of spark plugs to use in it?

    . Install NGK spark plugs--the exact ones specified for the car.
    . Replace Ignition Control Module and coil.
    . Adjust idle rpm higher (throttle cable), if necessary.
    . Clean Idle Air Control Valve and throttle body. Ensure upper and lower ports are clean.
