Will my Paycheck be considered in Child Support
I am in NY. My boyfriend goes to court next month to have a child support arrangement put into place.

He is the non-custodial parent. My question is, if down the road we get married, will my income affect how much child support he is ordered to pay? I thought I read somewhere that it doesn't, but now I have heard it might.

Please let me know if you can help me with this!!

In some states it does and more and more courts are looking to the partners incomes to get more money. Is it considered at this time - no. Can it be in the future ? - yes

Calif is a state where they can allow the income of a partner ( you don't even have to be married just under the same roof ) and NY tends to have some " progressive " child support laws in place. If Judy reads your post she may be able to provide much more insight as she is closer to that area of the country.
