    Termination from employment
I was terminated from my job as a vocational instructor for misconduct, inapporiate behavior.A student wrote a letter to the director stating that she overheard me talking about another instructor. I was called in the office a week later and terminated. I was never informed of this allegation until phone interview w /unemployment officer. I totally deny this allegation. Do I have a leg to stand on.

    mouth -

Judging by your username, there may be some validity to your termination but let me give you the benefit of the doubt.

I think that your company is obligated to allow you the opportunity to dispute your termination through 3rd party arbitration, which protects the company from excessive claims and legalities. It really depends upon the contract that you signed when you were hired on. Try to get in contact with Human Resources manager to figure out what the process would be.

At this stage of the game, you've already been fired. It's highly unlikely that you'd be allowed back but perhaps you can at least be compensated monetarily for the loss of employment, to cover living expenses, etc. But you'd have to win your case with an arbitor, assuming you'd even get that far. You might be fighting a difficult battle if you are innocent but if you are at fault and were terminated under normal company guidelines, then you might need to seriously take an inward look at yourself and get your act together, Mouth.

    Regards.
