No ignition on Comfort Aire OUFA95-D4
Hello. I bought a Comfort Aire OUFA95-D4 brochure at http://www.alpinehomeair.com/related...20Brochure.pdf

It ran fine for year. Now two days ago I installed a new thermostat, I turned power back on and called for heat and it turned on and blew hot air out great. Later that night I return from work and I can not get the furnace to ignite.

I tried reinstalling the old Thermo. I went to the furnace and jumped the leads at the unit itself so its not a wire problem. When you jump the wires it makes the audible click. Even waiting 2 minutes should it be the 15 second pre-purge it still does not start the igniter.

When you turn the power to the unit off and then on, the green LED flicks on but goes immediately out. Does not even show a lockout for the unit.

Anyone have any steps I can try to troubleshoot this with? The unit uses the Beckett AFG burner with flame retention head, psc motor and solid state ignition. I can post Shortcuts to the wiring manuals and user guides.

Any help would be great before calling a technician out as its dropping into the cold 30's in New Jersey Tonight.

When you jump the unit out does the burner motor run?
Does the unit pump oil into the combustion chamber while running?
Do you have oil in the tank?

There is oil in the tank.
The burner motor does not start
I can not get anything to run besides the blower motor

Im changingthe oil filter today in case that had anything to do with it.

You need to find out if power is getting to the burner motor from the safety control. Usually the safety control has a reset button. First turn off all power to the furnace for a few minutes. Then turn power back on and reset the control. Some of the newer controls have a lock out feature that is different from the older models. I would read up on your burner to see if there is a 30 or 60 minute delay built in and if that can be bypassed.

n delay built in, I killed power to the furnace at the breaker box overnight the first day it happened. I just replaced my fuel filter and bled the line . I checked the nozzles and they don't appear to be plugged and the cam sensor works fine, when you lift the cover and light goes in the status LED lights up. Which is the correct thing because light = flame on this burner. It may be the control circuit is faulty as it will not attempt to light at all.

There are many possibilitys. You will need to track it down until you find the defective component.
