    Hooking up a phone jack
We removed this phone jack that was in the kitchen and now we want to hook it back up. The problem is that I'm not sure what wires go to what. There is a white, green, red and black. Can someone please explain this to me?

Hook it back up to the same colors. The white is probably a discolored yellow.

What are you connecting to what? Are you trying to connect an four position connector or are you using the much older style with the R - B- Y- G positions?

Red to red and green to green for line 1, black to black and white to yellow for line 2, if used.
