How fix low cold water pressure in shower?
The hot water pressure is fine in both showers. The cold water pressure is fine in one shower, but in the other, the amount of cold water has gradually gotten to be less and less. Now it is barely a trickle. My plumber says he would have to tear out a wall to fix it. Is there any other solution?

Did your plumber open up the valve and check and clean the cold water inlets of the cartridge? Did he turn the water back on the flush out the cold water supply and open valve body to see if that helped? Or did he just tell you he had to open the wall tand what? Replace the valve? If he didn't do any of the above things then perhaps you need a new plumber. What's the brand name of your shower valve? One handled? How old is it? Let me know, Tom
