I read that if a parent wants to sign away his/ her rights to their biological child that counts as abandonment. Is that true?

In 2006 My child's father and I were talking through AIM because he is in the ARMY and that was the only way we could communicate. He typed out that he wanted to sign away his rights because he did not want to pay child support.

Is there anyway that AIM conversations can be used in court for that? Is there anyway I can have AIM send me conversation records? I looked on AIM's site and found NOTHING.
I want AIM to send printed records so that it is PROVEN that it is the actual conversation.

It would take too much to get everything you needed to get all the proof you needed to actually prove it was him. Not only would you need records but also need to profve it was him on the other end and not an imposter. You would have to get the original computer IP that the messages came from and somehow prove he was at the other end.

He can't sign away his rights anyway. You can read thousands of other threads and you will learn a lot about that issue. Have you been married to a man for at least a year to a man that wants to adopt? That is the only way he can sign away his rights is to sign to allow the adoption. If this is the case then go get a lawyer to draw up the papers (lawyers are required for all adoptions).
