    1999 honda passport transmission
Is there some kind of valve on a 1999 honda passport that would cause it to leak fluid and not shift past second gear?

I am not aware of any valve. If it is leaking fluid and not shifting past second gear take it to be fixed immediately before you do more damage to this tranny. Pretty soon the car won't go into any gear.
