    Don't know what to do
Im 17 years old, me and my father has never got along ever since he got custody over me and my sister. Him and his wife are always verbally abusing us, but only when we do something wrong or when he's drunk or high. I want to know if I can move out of my family homes and move in with a friend? Or if there is any cheap way to get my sister out of my fathers house? She is only 12 and my grandmother can't afford a lawyer, I'm terrified for my sisters health because she keeps all her emotions bottled up and I don't want nothing to happen to her. What do I do?

    Legal Aid
I believe you could become emancipated and then you would be able to move in with the friend as long as it was someone in good standing with the law. Next time they start on with the abuse, call the police. If they are drunk or high, the police will do something. You could also try talking to someone at a local legal aid society.

Hi at 17 you can legally move from your fathers home and there is nothing your father or the law can do , and regarding your sister you should call your local social services and tell
Them what is happening social services is responcible for you up to the age of 18+
You will find them in the telephone book they will help you ask them hope this helps
