    Journal entry
I have to do a journal entry for this problem... Victor has two employees who each get paid $150/day. Dec 31st is on a Wed. These two employees will not be paiduntil Friday January 2nd.

I know that you debit salary expense and you credit salary payable but I am having trouble figuring out how much to debit and credit.

First you need to know the number of work days in the week till the end of the year.

There is Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.

Next you need to know the number of employees. In this case there are 2 employees.

Then you need to know The salary which is $150 for each employee.

    Take 3 X 2 X $150 = $900

    Debit Salary Expense for 900
    Credit Salary Payable for 900

Note: Debits must always equal Credits and Vice Versa!!
