    Calculating the amount of atoms
    How many atoms of oxygen are a formula unit of the mineral leadhillite Pb4SO4(CO3)2(OH)2?

    Count 'em!

    1st in SO4
    2nd in (CO3)2
    Then in (OH)2

    Add them up. The number outside the brakets apply to alll that are in the brakets.
