Movie with girl looked like boy
I just read the description of this film, but never saw the film itself. And now I would like to know the title of this film. Can you help me?

About a girl, who looked a little boyish, decided to dress like a boy. She had some painful intercourse with a male gas station attendant. Then started traveling.

This is the few lines from the description I read that I remember. Frankly speaking I do remember the plot didn't sound much more sophisticated than that, but it was not (as far I understood and hope) a porno-film.

I would like to stress that transsexuality would not be a theme of this movie, just that the girl decided to dress like a boy to avoid being recognized.

    Thank you for your suggestions.

Could it have been "Yentl?" Here's a brief synopsis:

    Synopsis of Yentl (dvd)
This musical romance tells the tale of a young Eastern European Jewess, Yentl, who disguises herself as a boy so that she can study holy scripture. Streisand, who stars and directs, falls in love with a fellow male student with tragic-comic results.

    Starring:
Barbra Streisand, Mandy Patinkin, Amy Irving, Steven Hill, Nehemiah Persoff, Allan Corduner, Ruth Goring, David De Keyser

tokm-nikita disagrees: Close, but unfortunately doesn't really answer the description.

Please don't use disagree ratings for people who are trying to help you out!

The poster might be incorrect, but took time to try to get you on the right track. How rude of you.

Nothing like negatively rating members who are trying to help you to get you completely ignored by others who might have the right answer but are afraid you'll ding them with a negative rating.

Ill NEVER understand why newbies come here and b!tch about help from people who genuinely are trying to solve a problem.

You're right. I didn't consider the rating. I just meant to say that it's not the film he mentioned. Sorry.

And it's not Yentl either, because I have seen that film once (albeit some 20 years ago).

There's two movies that come to mind. "Boy's Don't Cry" with Mrs. H. Swank.
And the other one "The Crying Game"
    Maybe one of these?

Do you possibly have any recollection of what you were researching when you read the description of the movie of which you are searching? That may help in assisting you with this better.

Could it be "Je t'aime moi non plus" (1976)?
