Shaving shaft
All right I know it sounds kind of weird but I got a question. Actually 2 questions
I have hair on my penis shaft? Is that normal and do other guys also have that
And more importantly, I want to shave it but it don't want my entire shaft to be covered in thick hair ( right now I have a lot toward the bottom of the shaft where it is thicker and just a few thinner hairs along the shaft) Please somebody give me a fast reply. This Saturday I'm losing the v card and I don't want her to freak because of all the hair.

It's normal for men to have some hair on the penis shaft. Shaving it will not make it grow thicker though. Shaving stubble during intercourse can cause pain to women, I don't know about men.
Be proud of how you are made! Pay attention to her feelings and desires. If she rejects you for too much hair there, find someone else.

1. DON'T DO IT. You can hurt yourself, cause irritation, etc.
2. Trust me when I say this. Women like "trimmed" not "shaved"... it's been compared to as a hairless cat jumping out of your pants, and trust me, no girl looks sexy when she's THAT surprised.
Trim, carefully with a pair of scissors, don't shave.

To each their own.
Yes, some hairs on the shaft is normal. If she "freaks out" about this, she's going to have a lot of learning to do.
Personally, I've gone both ways. I think a man completely shaved often looks like a kid, but I've fully shaved before and I've gone to trimming with a pair of scissors. Not shaved, is my preference.
Its not a bad idea to buy a good pair of smaller scissors... the pair I use I think might be intended for sewing... they are shorter in length than a razor blade handle... easier to control points ends. Just flat out better than trying to use larger, "standard" office scissors.
As for the shaft itself, have gone both ways here too. You can shave, you can use scissors. Need to be careful with both... I tend to use a razor, and I've had more issues get poked with scissors than any kind of cut with a razor... but as mentioned, if you shave you can feel irritation, especially the first few days after, so even though I think shaving is easier and faster, you might just want to trim some.
If you do decide to shave, its still not a bad idea to trim with scissors first, so the razor head doesn't get clogged so much.
And don't spend too much time worrying about "right" or "wrong" here... most would likely say cleaned and trimmed is pleasing, no matter where their exact personal preference lies.

DON'T DO IT. I am a nurse and the biggest cause of skin infections is hair follicle infections. If you shave the shaft and then have intercourse, the friction, not to mention sexual fluids can and probably will cause an infection. Like everyone else said, trim it.

Hair has gotten a bad name because of the porn influence and oral sex obsession, I guess.
Hair and lots of it is much more attractive than the reptilian look, in my opinion. Better you should be a great stick-man first!! Practice makes perfect... hair makes for a smooth and healthy passage. :D

I am not trying to argue against this point, as I certainly agree to some extent that a desire for being more groomed is often tied to sexual acts (as it clearly is here, in part, by his original post)... but also, I know people who simply think it feels cleaner. Period. And the "benefit" that extends into sexual acts is much like a shower before sex, or shaving your legs, or a man shaving stubble off his face... you might not need it for pleasurable sex, but it might not hurt to do it.
I'm good friends with a girl who absolutely HATED pubic hair, long before she was sexually active in any way... and well groomed, in my opinion, does simply feel better... but that doesn't negate your good points.

In all honesty, if it's your first time, I don't think your girlfriend will be paying much attention to the amount of hair anywhere on your body.
I agree with the others, shaving can cause irritation.
Also, and I think this was missed, I hope you will be wearing a condom, in that case the hair on your shaft will not irritate her one bit.
Trim, don't shave. More important than how it looks is how you protect yourself and her from an STD or pregnancy.
Good luck. :)

Just a small thought... it is your first time. Is it hers? If so I can bet she is worried about the same thing you are. If she has too much hair down there, is he going to like it better if I shave it, will he like it if I do this or that... I think you will be very surprised at how little either of you pay attention to what the other has going on down there and more concerned with pleasing the other person. You look fine I'm sure. And If you are going to wear a condom it doesn't really matter does it? If your not, then it still doesn't matter. Just ask her how she wants it and I suggest masturbating the day before or that morning so you don't "go" too soon. Good luck!!

I agree with Altenweg.
If you're wearing a condom so that you prevent pregancy and the possible spread of disease, there's no way that the hair is going to bother her one bit.

How old are you? Any female posting about losing her "v-card" would have been asked this!

GL on your first time and enjoy it. My first time my GF and I were totally hammered... and about the hair a quick trim like stated by everyone will be more than enough.

If you are really worried then trim, nothing wrong with a trim. Shaved or stubble won't feel great for either of you. Trim is always good though. I completely agree with KP that it feels cleaner too. And if you are lucky enough to get a little oral action too then trimmed is DEFINITELY preferred, at least in my opinion and most other women I have talked to. Don't worry about it looking weird or anything though, women worry about the same thing. Plus, in the end, its not about what she thinks, it is what you feel comfortable with.
My boyfriend always says he doesn't care what kind of "hair-cut" I have down there as long as I am comfortable with it (and short is good ;) )

Its normal...
Shave it... kep it up every two or three days and there won't be any stubble to irritate her.
But like was mentioned... use a condom unles you are married. You may know where you have been but there is know way to be sure of where she has been. Assume nothing. Use a raincoat.

Yes, it's normal to have hair grown there.
However Me myself I shave. The posts above I never experienced irritation or infection.
What you need is a body shaver.
You can get one on eBay for about 34 bucks.
Don't use a facial shaver. The reason is that the eletronic facial shave will hurt and irritate down there.
The body shaver is design in a micro way where it acts like a pair of cuttors.
The eletronic shaver pulls hair and then cuts it with a razer blade now a body shaver has a filter so the pubic hairs go into the shaver and gets cut by the razers so it dosen't pull any hair nor can it cut skin.
This is the best. You can shave closly anywhere without cutting anything or getting any rash/burns
They designed it specificly for sexual organs but you can use this for the facial hair and armpits.
I have asked many of my female friends and they say they find it sexy. They really hate a hairy guy.
I ony save down there and also my facial hair other than that I keep my armpit hair.
I even heard on radio stations talking about this subject and many females agree that they would prefer a guy to shave down their. Some save it makes you thing look bigger and they like that.
I personally don't care I do it mostly because I usually get sweaty down their all year round if I don't shave down their which I hate.
So I suggest buy a body shaver this is what you need if you don't plan to do that then follow the above suggestions.
Don't use a eletronic shaver this will create rashes/burns and also will hurt since you can't cut all the hair which the hair left behind will be sharp like a knife and will hurt down their and also may hurt the ladies also.
Hope this helps.

Never used a body shaver... I use a 5 blade razor with Gel. Never had issues but then I learned what not to do from trial and error.

So...
Commonly agreed upon points here
1) if you decide to "clean up" a bit, use a good tool (quality shaver, razor, scissors) for the job
2) don't sneeze, hiccup, or otherwise twitch. No pogo sticks, trampolines, or inline skates.
3) if she's counting hairs per square inch of skin, you might be "doing it wrong" and she's bored. Or has an odd fetish. Lets hope she doesn't have trichotillomania (compulsive desire to pull out hair)
