stress in college
Hello,
I'm writing a 5 paragraph paper on stress during student college life, and I am to explain and discuss coping strategies and provide helpful examples as I go for each type of the 5 stresses that I chose. Will you please help me edit this?
All of us dealing with college life also must deal with stress from time to time, coming from things such as struggling to finish an assignment on time or trying to mend a broken relationship. Most of the college students face the financial stress due to overspending. As a result almost everybody is bogged down with heavy debts increasing day by day. It is a good practice for students to keep a budget. This helps you to keep a track of your expenses and earnings and also helps you to make necessary adjustments that will be a role in reducing your financial stress.
I believe that overall level of health affects everything in your life, including how you react to stress. Someone who is always feeling overwhelmed, eats poorly, and doesn't get enough sleep usually has a limited ability to cope with stressful events. Paying attention to your own well being and getting the right balance of sleep, food, exercise, work, school, and recreation is crucial. Many students find themselves rushing and hurrying from one activity to another, always racing with the clock and never getting on top of things. This is why organization and time management are so important.
Relaxation techniques are valuable tools in stress management. Meditation, self-hypnosis, and deep muscle relaxation make it possible for you to spend a short period in a state of profound relaxation. In this state both the body and the mind are at rest and the outside world is blocked out for a period. For example, the practice of any relaxation technique on a regular basis can provide a calming and relaxing feeling that seems to have a lasting effect for many people, replenishing the energy level and ability to cope.
Stress is often caused by general unhappiness and a sense of aimlessness or lack of purpose. People sometimes make choices and live lifestyles that really don't fit them. A student may be studying biology when he or she really wants to be a musician, or he or she may have a wide circle of friends, but not really have an intimate, fulfilling relationship. Clarifying your values and deciding what you really want out of your life can help you deal with stress.
In closing, I believe that socializing and being surrounded by positive people is an important aspect of overcoming stress. It helps to have real supportive people that you like a lot in your life who want you to succeed, especially during finals.

Hi, andyhaus1057!
Without knowing the specific instructions that you were given by your teacher concerning things like the tense of the person that you need to be in writing this as well as knowing the five types of stresses that you have chosen, it's a somewhat difficult to advise you here, but I'll try.
Overall, I think that what you have written is good. I have made some corrections/additions for your consideration that are highlighted in blue.
If there is to be a title to this, then you need to provide it.
Suggested start to the following, opening paragraph: College students face dealing with stress. One of those stresses is...
All of us working and dealing with college life also must also deal with stress from time to time, resulting from situations such as struggling to finish an assignment on time or trying to mend a broken relationship. Most [leave out] college students face [leave out] financial stress due to overspending. As a result almost everybody is bogged down with heavy debts increasing day by day. It is a good practice for students to keep a budget. This helps you to keep a track of your expenses and earnings and also helps you to make necessary adjustments that will be a role in reducing your financial stress.
You list three stresses in the above paragragh. If you are only supposed to write about five, then I would abbreviate the above paragraph and start it as I have suggested.
Suggested beginning to the following paragraph is: Overall health of a student plays an important part in how that student is able to cope with stress.

Nothing that I've posted above is perfect by any means, but are only guidelines for you.
If I were you, I would list the specific five stresses that you have chosen here and then list by writing here, paragraph by paragraph what you would like to write.
Thanks!
