    Generator transfer switches
    I want to use dpdt p&s switches to transfer power to a generator during a power outage. Is this o.k/

    No, buy a transfer switch panel.

    Transfer switches have to have internal mechanical mechanisms that will not allow the switches to fail with both poles shorted.
