Wanting to lighten medium, reddish-brown skin
    Hi,

I am of mixed heritage, but to keep it simple I'll say I'm of African descent. My mother is extremely fair skinned, and my father is a dark brown color. My younger sister came out with a color that would make someone a "yellow" person, where as I came out a medium brown color with reddish undertones.

Some people say it's weird that I'm a 16year old guy and really caring that much about lighter skin, but my lighter family has said so many things about my color that now I want my skin to be lighter, no matter what anyone says. SO MY QUESTION IN SHORT IS:

what can I use to make my skin lighter. I cashed out $400hard earned money for 10 bottles of these damn L-Glutathione pills - I've been using them for about 4.5 weeks, and people say I'm getting lighter but I don't think so. I bought some Ambi fade crap last night to lighten my skin, but I found out that just removes hyper pigmentation "without" changing the natural skin tone. I was contacting this lady from monobenzone.net about using the product to lighten my skin, but she said that because of my age and condition (not having vitigilo), they could not sell it to me. On top of that, all of these people on this forum say different things: some say that they became lighter, while others say that it disfigured them.

As far as skin color goes, I'm about the color of... BowWow, and I'm trying to get to a Chris Brown color:

advice? Any products that ACTUALLY WORK, and FAST! Maybe these glutathione pills work. I'm really contemplating buying this monobenzone/benzylarbutin crap. If you want to see actual pictures, just contact me for my myspace. ='(

    Thanks

And yes I think you are too young to be contemplating putting mono on your face. You don't want to do something that you may regret for the rest of your life. There are so many negative comments about mono at the moment that I think that you have got to consider something else.

I know we all want things like YESTERDAY and it can be fustrating when something does not work, but mono should only be considered as an absolute last resort when nothing else works and even then, you need to think twice.

Have you tried anything else ?

A medium brown haired girl wanting to going lighter [ 5 Answers ]

Reddish brown hair [ 1 Answers ]

Hi. I recently coloured over my highlighted hair with a permanent 'natural light brown'. As the color underneath had orange tones in it (which was the reason I went over it with brown), the colour I have now is brown with a lot of red and orange tones in it. My highlights are coming through on...
