Hello,

I am searching for a book that I read a long time ago. I am not able to recall the author or title.

The book starts with a couple drinking and having a good time. The guy passes out and finds himself in a new world. There are people who live in burrows and he learns there way of life. At the end the guy wakes up and finds his companion dead.

I hope this is enough information? I know it does not sound like a good book but it was.
