    Wiring problems
I just swapped a 18 HP Briggs and stratton Motor over to another frame and the wireing harness will not match up. Should I take the ignition switch out and swap it over or does anybody have any suggestions.

So that's the only thing that's not matching?

This should help you some with the wiring.

You sure could just swap the wiring...

Yes the wiring harness does not match up. The 18 hp only has two wires going to the motor itself a red one and a black one.I take it the red one goes to the starter and the black one goes to the coil and I switched out the solenoid and ignition switch yesterday and still nothing.

There's one wire to the starter, it's the big round red one. There can be one wire to two wires going under the flywheel to the stator, for charging the battery and running the lights.. the other side there's a black wire from the coil, that's the kill wire.
