    Summons to go to court with a debt
    Please help me I have just received a letter saying I am summoned to go to court it says a alias order ( don't know what that is ) to appear in court the debt is for 10 thousand dollars plus interest and court cost it says the van was something me and my now ex wife had , I can't afford that I have custody of three children and don't earn a large salary it tells me to take documents tax returns etc my wife and I have been divorced for 8years now help what can I do its worrying me and it was in both our names

    Did you two have a van together ? You take all of your required info and appear in court. If not I doubt you can afford the garnishment of your paycheck that can happen if you don't go fight a incorrect debt

    It was taken back to the firm who we were buying it off,yes it was in both our names when we were together
