My cycle is so regular you can set a clock by it- 31 days always- never early never late. I started my last peiod on August 21st. I had with my husband the week of September 1st twice a day. On the 8th, my breast leaked for the first time in 13 years (my last pregnancy). I also had other symptoms of pregnancy- swollen, tender breasts, headaches, lower back pain, etc. My next period was due to start September 22. I started spotting on the 16th- very light and pink. Same on the 17th and then it got heavier on the 18th, but then stopped last night. I thought it was implantation bleeding from what I had read about the subject (did not have with my first child). This morning I woke up to my pantyliner with red blood and it has been like a normal period (a lighter day) all day. My cycle is usually 1 day of spotting, two heavy days, and then a day or two of spotting. I would have sworn I was pregnant until this morning.

Has anyone else had this happen? I have take at home pregnancy test and it is negative, but still three days before my period is supposed to start. Any advise or wisedom would be greatly appreciated. My husband and I were really excited about the posibility. I'm hate that it looks like I'm not pregnant.

Periods are notorious for not staying the same every cycle. You may have a "normal" routine for months, then it goes off a bit... either in amount, length of days, color, etc.. It could be from a number of things... an off period and it was just a sign that things are starting (some women notice a bit of spotting a few days before the flow gets going), implantation bleeding (although most women never notice this), even a very early loss... has happened to most women, but often goes unnoticed.
Give it another week and see what happens. Try another test then if you feel it is still off from your norm. Good luck!
