My kitchen sink is plugged up, probably due to fat. Can I use septic powder to fix it?

I don't know what "septic powder" is but the best and most certain way to reomve a blockage is to snake the drain line. (see image)
You have a blockage in the horizontal line that runs from the trap to the stack. You have two options. You can plunge, don't forget to block the other drain with a wet rag jammed in it. Or if that fails you can remove a trap and go up the trap tail with a plumbers snake. You will meet some resistance at the bend in the wall but you won't have to put out over 6' of cable. As a repair plumber I have never recommended using harsh chemicals. Most of the time they don't work and when you try to remove the water you could burn your hands or damage your eyes.
