    Cash for keys - forecloser
What is a renters right in California when they have been served an eviction notice due to a forecloser? The bank has bought the apartment unit. The letter also states they will give me a Cash for Keys to move asap. They will pay anywhere from $500 to $1500, but then I have a couple of weeks to be gone. This will be a huge burden for me financially... not to mention trying to find a new place , pack up and move all in a couple of weeks. What rights due I have?

Technically... none. If you refuse to move, they will evict you. Your lease (if you had one) was terminated the day the property sold at foreclosure. They do not have to offer you the Cash for Keys, so if I were you I'd be taking the offer and looking for a new place to live starting today.
