Rosetta Stone: Spanish - Worth the money?
Hi everyone,
I'm 24 year old Asian who came to US in '99. Graduated from top50 university last year and fluent in English now.
Due to english being my 2nd language, I didn't have luxury of learning other languages while I was in high school and in college (due to my heavy major courses).
I'm very much interested in learning Spanish (Latin) mainly because I want to visit Machu Picchu and South America. I know only Brazil speaks Portuguese and rest speaks Spanish so learning Spanish would benefit visiting multiple nations in South America.
Is Rosetta Stone enough to learn Spanish? I don't need to be fluent but enough to be able to travel on my own. I'm willing to devote a year of studying, buying RS software (level 1,2,3) and maybe few books to do self teaching.
Anybody successful with the software? Any other advices on how to be good with the language?
Your advices will be appreciated. Thanks.
