Choosing the Right Heat Pump System
Hi, I've been getting quotes for a split A/C system. My home is 2200 sq ft and I've received a quote for a 4 ton, 13 Seer, Payne heat pump for $4357. Goodman 4 ton, 13 seer, $4800. Amana (same specs) $6500, Trane $6740. What is the best system for the money? I don't need "bells and whistle" just a good system for the weather conditions here in Florida.

One is as good as the other, shop for the best warranty and best installer, quality installation is very, very important, the 43oo $ unit is as good as the 6700 $ unit, unless you want to pay extra bucks for a name brand,, not sure of the others but I know the Amana offers a 10 year warranty, all parts, but maybe some of the others do also

Got one more quote for a Trane XR-13 for $5498. What kind of questions do you ask to make sure they are a good installer?
