    Surgery with shingles?
I am scheduled for laparoscopic surgery Monday Sept 15. I noticed Friday night a small rash on the left side of my back near my ribcage it looks like chaffing but not really where anything could have chafed it. It looks like it could be shingles but it is not really painful but it does slightly sting and itch. I am wondering if it is shingles will I still be able to have my surgery or will it have to be rescheduled?

Please point this area out to your doctor prior to surgery. He may want to reschedule this until the rash goes away. Let him decide.
