    Hello
    AC upstairs just quit working, downstairs is fine. I reset the green button on my AC unit in the basement and I got a burning smell through the vents. Still AC is not working upstairs. Do I need to do something to the outside unit? Any suggestions :(

    Sounds like a shot transformer,, does the inside unit,airhandler work,, I`m kind of confused never have I seen anyone have a a/c unit (condenser ) inside a basement ,it is supposed to be outside and the furnace /airhandler is inside
