    Going back to colleg
I am 40 years old, I have about 2 years college experience and I would like to get a degree. What is the best route to take in order to continue supporting my family and get a degree? I am interested in the Pharmacy field or Physicians Assistant.

Well my mom is going back to college right now too, and luckily with her job she can take off the days she needs. Mostly because she hasn't taken a day of work in 5 years. A lot of bosses want their employees to advance in education, so talk to your boss. Not sure if this is just a Michigan thing where the economy is super bad, but my mom gets tons of money each semester. Of course she has to pay it back eventaully, but its helping with bills, food, etc...

And if you took useful classes in your 2 years in college, then u may be able to use some of those credits

Its definitely possible. My mom is a single parent with 3 kids, so don't give up

I went back to finish up later on as well... check out the programs that different colleges or universities offer. Most now have many classes available online, some entire programs can be taken online. You can also go part-time... night classes and sometimes classes may be offered on Saturdays. It has become very easy to obtain an education. Obviously checking into financial aid if that would be an issue as well would be something you would want to do well ahead of time. Good luck... it may seem like a great deal of work, and it will be, but it will be worth it!

I, too, went back later in life at 38 and just graduated nursing school.

Here is some info on becoming a pharmacist if you are in the US

    Pharmacists

And some info on becoming a PA.

    Physician Assistants

If you are in the US, there is talk that around the year 2010 that PA's will have to go entirely through medical school just as a doctor would.
