I think my house is haunted but I'm not sure I have seen figures out of the corner of my eye I have gotten cold chills in the middle of summer like if someone has opened a door on a cold winter day right now as I'm typing this and I'm still getting colder at night walking to and from the kitchen I feel like I'm being followed when I go to look I see nothing latley its been so bad to where I run and I don't get scared easly. Please some one let me know I'm going crazy

Some people are more astute then others regarding the paranormal. I have heard that most of us have the ability to conquer the spirit world but are held back by ignorance. I have had some unusual experiences over the years, one very scary during the night.

You should not let yourself be overcome by fear, if this is an entity, it is just as curious as you are, I suppose. Don't forget, they are lost souls unable to cross over and become frustrated, making them strike back by causing trouble in a household.

Try to ignore the feeling, and I am not saying it will go away, but the entity will become comfortable seeing you around and not make these bad vibes you are feeling.

Anyway, I get the sense that what you are experiencing is genuine. Tickle is right, that the best way to approach this is curiosity and compassion rather than fear. Keep in mind that a ghost is, by definition, something weak. It is something lacking the energy to fully manifest, so it is only a ghostly seeming. Of course, that can be a matter of point of view. Perhaps we aren't fully manifesting on its level, either. As was so cleverly shown in a certain 2001 Nicole Kidman movie, we might seem like ghosts to it.

If this is a haunting, the question is why, or perhaps what is it that is being haunted? Did you recently move to this house? Or if you have been there a while, have these experiences been happening the entire time you have been there? If it started recently, it may not be the house itself, but have been triggered by something else.

There are lots of ways to protect yourself. If you look at some of the recent posts by xoxaprilwine on this site, she has some really good, simple techniques for spiritually cleaning house. Or you could go to a local New Age shop, most moderately sized cities have them these days, the ones that sell books and Tarot decks and incense and crystals. Most of those are run by wise women who could give you some good direction. Whatever you do, the important thing is your intention. You don't want your intention to be to drive off any spirits in your house and make it into an unassailable fortress so no spirit ever comes near again. That would just be mean!

A better intention would be that any spirits are welcome in their highest form, in the highest good of all. Anything that would harm you (or harm the friendly spirits) is barred, but those that mean good, or are innocently curious, or in need of help, are welcome.

That's something to consider: If it is a ghost, maybe it is there because it needs help. Lots of ghosts do. Stuck in confusion and pain and fear, the kindness of a warm, living being can do them a world of good. It all comes down to moving beyond your own fear, and getting input from knowledgeable people as you go along.
