    Windshield/wiper related problems
My windshield is smeared with an even whitish layer when I use it during the rains.I don't know if the windshield cleaning fluid that is used previously had anything to do with this.If anyone could tell me the possible cause for this.

I would try cleaning the windshield with rubbing achahol and then apply Aquapel. Aquapel is a awsome product 200% better than rain x. Also try a new set of windshield wipers.
