My policy cancelled and I have been to the dr.
My Oxford policy was terminated 8/31. I was unaware until today 9/10. The termination letter was dated 9/4.

On 9/5/08, I had called Oxford to find out if I should overnight my check for two months; Aug & Sept. The rep said the system was down but if I had a bill with the full amount dated for September then I was still in the grace period and not to worry.

I have been to two Dr's for blood work and skin biopsy. In the past week I found out I was pregnant and then that the pregnancy ended on it's own. I also went to the dermatologist who found a possible cancerous spot that needed biopsy. What a challenging week and then to find today that I had all this with no coverage!

I need to find an emergency coverage or find a way to have my ins reinstated. I need to cover the last week of services and labs as well as procedures I need going forward.

Help and assistance of any kind would be greatly appreciate
    Thank you.

You will not get any policy that will cover you for the "past" week, in fact most would not even cover the items that were discovered last week since they would be a pre-existing condition now for any new policy.

Also "grace" period?? That is life insurance not normally health insurance. In health insurance you have a right to get the policy re-instated without proving insurability, If they will re-instate the policy what is the date they will reinstate from. If they will make it effective from first, no problem, but if they don't, you will just have to pay those doctor bills out of your own pocket. ** sorry not the answer you want but just how it works
