    I'm trying to locate my old bank account number with the transactions from around 1996 from a 1st National bank in Pacific Grove Ca. The bank is no longer there. Any suggestion where to start researching or who I can contact,

    I have merged your two questions, please do not ask the same question over and over.

    It may take a few hours to a few days to get answers in some areas.

    Your state should have a state banking commmission, they would be a good start. But transaction records from 12 years ago are most likely no longer available
