got a question tried to solve it but I can't the question is Calculate the value of the following in exponential form, using standard scientific or "e" notation (for example, 105 = 1.05e2). Enter the correct number of significant figures.
(4.75e3 cm)3 tried it several times but keep coming up with the wrong awnser thanks

I don't quite understand what you mean... Is it $(4.75e^3)^3$ ?

I think the question is this:

$<br /> (4.75E+3 \ cm)^3<br />$

where the "E+3" notation means "times 10^3." This type of expression is typical for a calculator, or in Excel.

So you have:

$<br /> (4.75 \times 10^3 \ cm)^3 \ = \ 4.75^3 \times (10^3)^3 \ cm^3 \ = 107.17 \times 10^9 \ cm^3\ = \ 1.0717 \times 10^{11} \ cm^3<br />$

Oh, i understand now... and i may give an example too!

$(5\small {E}\normalsize{3})^4= (5\times {10^3})^4= 5^4 \times {(10^3)^4}=625 \times {10^{12}}= 6.25\times{10^{14}}$
