K, so my brother is kind of upset w/ me. He really wants our families to get together once a week for a family dinner. I'm up to it, but I don't really want to do it EVERY WEEK. I suggested we get the WHOLE FAMILY together once a month. Does that sound reasonable?

We're a close family. I really do want us to have get togethers, but not once a week. Am I awful?

I think you are lucky. My brother and I are about 21/2 hours away from each other and maybe see each other only 1 -3 times a year. He has not interest.

Yes. I do know that I am lucky. We're very "tight". So, is it unreasonable to expect me at his house every Friday night? Or can we do one Friday a month??

You need to talk to him. Tell him why you feel that every Friday would be too much. Would the weekend be better? Honesty is the best policy.

I do want to talk to him. He's a therapist so he's very good at convincing anyone of ANYTHING. I think Friday is a good day because it leaves Saturday nights to my husband and our friends.

I hope he's open to once a month, or maybe twice.. *fingers crossed*
