    Upstairs/Downstairs bathrooms leaking
Wondering if I have a main line problem. The upstairs and downstairs bathrooms are both leaking from the dining room and garage ceilings. I rent and the owner keeps sending plumbers to caulk the problem and it only holds for a few weeks or month. There is no leaking on the floors or walls of either bathroom so it leads me to believe that the problem is in the pipes. Please advise. Thanks!

From what you have said we can't tell a thing yet other than you have a foolish landlord who cares little about his property. Lets look at this sentence "upstairs and downstairs bathrooms are both leaking from the dining room and garage ceilings" you need to be far more detailed and specific if you want us to help you fix these leaks. Thanks,

The upstairs bathroom leaks in the dining room and the downstairs bathroom leaks in the garage. That is all I know. The landlord advises the repairmen to speak to him about what is going on so I don't know any more.

Sorry - I apologize - I do know that the leaks are coming from the shower not the toilet.

If you have informed the landlord, that's about all you can do. Rest assured it will get worse until he fixes it.
When he gets tired of paying the plumber, maybe he will come here for assiatance.
