    Looking for a book
    Hello,

Several years ago I purchased a book in the science fiction/fantasy section of Borders. I no longer have the book, but was interested in reading it again. Trouble is, I don't remember the title, author, or much about the story - which makes me all the more curious to read it again.

What I think I remember is:
    1) the characters could access an alternate dimension by shifting themselves/their vision by a specific degree amount
    2) there was a scene that took place in Denmark or another country close by
    3) something about teacups
    4) Ragnarok/Norse mythology
    5) something about a clock tower

If anyone has any suggestions as to what it may have been, I'd be most appreciative!

Perhaps, from a memory over 15 years old, Douglas Adams' The Long Dark Tea-Time of the Soul?

I was wondering what this one was. When I read the description, it reminded me slightly of John C. Wright's "Chaos Chronicles" trilogy... you might enjoy that one, too.
