    Fight eviction
    Hello,

My family and I have agreed to move on a specific date which is September 21st, and I got served with eviction suit from constable on yesterday the 2nd. Court date is set for the 8th. Some of the terms in the suit are wrong, tose stating that we are late on rent. The landlord got mad because we decided not to buy, because her problem son and dauter-in-law live next door. We fixed air conditioner and outside electrical which she said she would give back at closing of the house and has not asked for the rent due to the work that we have put in. Now she also has a judgment suit out for the amount the rent would have been. 1000. What can we do to slow the porcedure to give us time to move on the 21st.

Pay the rent due. In court if you can prove you had an agreement to work the rent, something in writing.
Or a receipt showing you paid the rent due.

But it does not sound like you "agreed" it sounds like you told them you were moving that date, I would move that date up sooner or be willing to pay the rent due at or before the court date.
