I have a 6 month old daschund. She is the BEST dog in every way but she has a problem with peeing in the house. Particularly on our bed. I love having her sleep with us, but I cannot endure the peeing any longer. I have also had problems with crate training her. She poops and pees in her crate. What do I do?? :confused:

Hi,
One of our Terriors finally started telling me she had to go outside, after 3 months old. Both my wife and I were ready to give up, but she must have heard my wife say, this is it! No more! Then, that very day, she started going to back door to be let out.
At 6 months, I would be walking her briskly for about 45 min. every day; getting plenty of exercise. That will give her a good opportunity to go potty.
I would also let her out of the house, maybe every couple of hours, see if she needs to go. When she does, praise her. When she goes to the door, wanting to go out, then ask "Do you need to go?". She will get use to those words, and know what you mean.
Be persistent and consistent. Let her outside more often, and eventually, she will get the idea she needs to go outside to potty. I do wish you the best.
