    In Need of an upgrade
I bought a 60 year old house that still uses fuse circuits... I believe it is a 100 watt amp and would like to upgrade the box only to a circuit-breaker box... what would the cost be for this upgrade, the house is located in Bergen County, NJ.

I was also told that the wiring in the entire house needed to be upgraded in order to swap out the box... is this true ? :(

I'll bet you $5 that you will not be able to get away with doing just the panel. If you have fuses that puts your service in an age bracket that is notorious for cracked and frayed service entrance cable, rusted meter pans, etc.
Do the right thing, do the whole service.

Absolutely NOT! Not unless your locality has some stupid code to support this claim.
