    Accident on prvt property
Ok, here's the deal, I was in a minor accident the other day. My driver side door scrapped against his bumper going pretty slow. He was in the middle of the road and I was trying to pull in a spot seeing as how it was busy in the parking lot. My question is do I have to do anything seeing as how its both of our faults? It was on private property in California.

    Hello bogus:

Accidents are rarely both drivers fault. Some times drivers agree that that's what happened, but that's only to avoid responsibility. Often times, especially when the police weren't called, the next morning, one of the drivers starts to think it might have been the other guys fault after all.

If he's one of those kinds of people, and you gave him your information, he certainly MIGHT come after you. If he does, turn it over to your insurance company. If you don't have insurance, then either pay, or be prepared to defend your "it's both our faults" theory in court.
