    Salary classification limitations under federal law
    Other than the protection afforded by the Fed labor laws to protect workers from unpaid overtime are there restrictions (to employers) on who can or can not be a salaried employee?

    There are tests to determine whether someone is exempt or non-exempt employee at the U.S. DOL website, under the Wage & Hour Division. Read carefully because there are exceptions to some occupations.
